I have to admit that I hadn’t quite realised how long 100 days is! If I had fully comprehended this at the beginning maybe I wouldn’t have started. Having said that, however, I am quite enjoying the challenge despite the inevitable pressure that comes with trying to fit it into my life along with everything else, and despite the fact that there have been quite a few themes where I have really struggled for ideas (although, so far, I’ve always managed to come up with something). I am still about 12 poems ahead, but freely admit I’m averaging one a day rather than writing exactly one each day in the specified order. As for whether or not my writing skills are improving, I suspect not, but I think it is proving to be a valuable exercise nevertheless.
When I’ve finished the whole collection I’ll let you know which ones I particularly like (and I’ll probably identify the heading-towards-execrable ones as well!). I’ve appreciated the bits of feedback I’ve had from folks along the way, which gives me a bit of an idea of what things have appealed to people.
