I've always wanted a bumper sticker that said "I'm a female, LDS/Mormon, Scout leading, geocaching, piano-playing, bicycling, mathematics educator with a PhD in maths ... and I VOTE"! Somehow I ended up with a large number of Scouty things scheduled in rapid succession in April and May, including some hikes. I think part of the rationale was that we hadn’t had a hike for a while, we had some kids who needed them … and we had two leaders who wanted them as well!
