Dramatis persona*

helenhead Helen Chick

I've always wanted a bumper sticker that said "I'm a female, LDS/Mormon, Scout leading, geocaching, piano-playing, bicycling, mathematics educator with a PhD in maths ... and I VOTE"!

I think this makes me a minority group of cardinality 1!

* Since there's only one of me and "personae" is plural (I think), I've gone with dramatis persona.

Harmonies by campfire light

I’ve been a leader in the Scout movement for a long time now … 27 years in fact (which is a bit scary) and I guess I’m a bit of a traditionalist at heart (or an old fogey … depending on which way you look at it!). Despite my concerns about climate change and the environment, […]

Wednesday morning, 3am

Okay, so this is NOT being written at the time in the song title … but, for better or worse (both, I think), I WAS awake at that time. I didn’t want to be, and I am certainly suffering the consequences now, but it was necessary.

So, why the title? Well, on Wednesday morning at 3am I […]
