I think that this will be the last “Walk photo” of the series, at least as far as trying to take a photo on every walk is concerned. I’ve enjoyed the discipline of trying to look for a good shot on each jaunt, but it’s just proving a little too time-consuming to do the resulting blog entry, and sometimes it’s a little too disruptive to the walk as well. I’ll continue to carry a camera on my perambulations — if only the iPhone — and if something special comes up then the resulting photo will probably appear here, but, for now at least, the tradition ends and with a whimper rather than a bang.
On today’s walk I decided to head up the shortcut path that allows those on foot to bypass all the bends on Nelson Road. The downside of this path is its up-ness: there are very many steps, and I was certainly suffering the consequences of my unfit state and the fact that the steps were so relentlessly abundant. In the interests of building up some stamina and strength, however, it would be good to do this route a few times more, despite my wussy lack of enthusiasm for it!
Jeremy used to run up and down here, with bricks in his hands and weights on his ankles… completely mad!
Which probably explains why Jeremy is rather fitter than I am!
