This week’s evening trip northwards was characterized by rather foul weather. When I stopped to take the first photo it took considerable effort to even open the car door, such was the strength of the wind, and further north there was horizontal rain just to add to the fun. If you look closely at the tree silhouette you might appreciate that the top branches are blurred because of the wind and low light conditions (it was not far off “last light”).
The return journey on the following day was earlier and with better weather. There were a few fields of canola that caught my eye in the spring sunlight, the first foregrounding Ben Lomond and Legges Tor, and the second, further south, was bounded by some of the Midlands’ characteristic skeletal trees.
