After running a day of professional learning in Hobart I jumped in the car to head north, hoping that I’d have the light for at least half the journey (short daylight hours are the down-side of winter travel).
With the sun having its winter northerly orientation it was lighting up the big historic 1860s mansion, Wybra Hall. It had been a residence before being a government children’s home during the 1950s to 1980s, and is now back being a private residence.
Between Jericho and Oatlands the sun was getting close to the horizon and so, partly because today is the 7th anniversary of this blog but mostly because I like sunsets, I stopped to watch it finish going down and to take a few photos. I liked most of them, so you get more than the usual number of “Midlands” photos in this entry.
[The Midlands series of photos are taken on my various trips northward from Hobart. By looking out for things to photograph I enjoy the trip a little more.]
