Dramatis persona*

helenhead Helen Chick

I've always wanted a bumper sticker that said "I'm a female, LDS/Mormon, Scout leading, geocaching, piano-playing, bicycling, mathematics educator with a PhD in maths ... and I VOTE"!

I think this makes me a minority group of cardinality 1!

* Since there's only one of me and "personae" is plural (I think), I've gone with dramatis persona.

Midlands 2015-#1S

And so it begins again: today was the year’s first work trip to Launceston.

There were some lovely possibilities for photos on my northward journey, but — due to the fact that my head messed with my head — I thought I was running late and so I didn’t stop. On the return journey the late afternoon light made for some interesting views, and I could have turned the trip into a sheep photo fest. There were lots of them out and about in the paddocks, capturing the sun’s light. I noticed but didn’t document that last week’s damp weather must have been a phenomenon only for the southern half of the state, because there was a definite change in the greenery around about Oatlands: to the north the paddocks were yellow and brittle, to the south there was a noticeable green tinge. These shots are all from north of Campbell Town.
