I had an overnight trip to Launceston this week, but with some complications that — fortunately — meant that I didn’t have to drive for any of it (I’m a bit run down at the end of the year, and it might not have been a good idea to be at the wheel of a car for a prolonged period of time). With company in the car and a timetable not entirely my own I felt we couldn’t stop (and, besides, I slept for the first half of the trip), and so I was reduced to attempting shots out the window. This rarely works, but I managed to capture a reasonable photo of the church at the little locality of Cleveland.
I wasn’t sure if I was going to bother getting a southbound photo (or, more to the point, I knew I’d probably be getting quite a few, but I’d be needing them for 12 of 12!), but when I looked out the hotel window the next morning, I noticed some statuary in an external alcove of a building a block or two away. It kind of intrigued me, and so you get an extra photo.
