I wasn’t in a theme-y mood today, but I was in desperate need of getting back into my half-hour-walk-a-day habit (the one that has never properly become a habit, unfortunately). So most of the photos come from a late afternoon walk around Rose Bay/Montagu Bay, apart from the first two photos which fit a Moods of the Mountain approach (one day I should do a 12 of 12 entirely Moods of the Mountain, but it does mean that I have to be around in the one spot for a prolonged period). Here, then, are the 12 photos for the 12th.
#1: The 7am mountain mood: pink sky and grey mountain, plus mist and snow (it snowed very heavily again on Sunday, the day after my most recent little wander up on top).
#2: The 8am mountain mood: pink mountain and pale blue sky, with lingering mist.
#3. Bench seat by the river on this evening’s walk.
#4. Tree branch silhouetted by the reflections of the late afternoon sun on the water.
#5. Ripples around rocks (I love water effects).
#6. More ripples, with the light of sunset reflected from them (did I mention that I like ripple effects?).
#7. Mt Wellington and the Tasman Bridge from Montagu Bay. The sun has just about set behind the hills well upstream to the right.
#8. Duckling silhouette (you might be able to guess that silhouettes with ripples are a definite favourite!).
#9. Allocasuarina (she-oak) silhouetted against the sky.
#10. Flash-lit early flowering wattle (it was getting pretty gloomy by now).
#11. Bridge and jetty at dusk.
#12. Sunset colours over Mt Wellington and Montagu Bay.
