Up until the last few days the winter has been very mild, with little rain and almost-balmy days.
Winter hit with a vengeance this week, however, with wild winds, extended periods of rain, chilly temperatures, and general unpleasantness lasting for most of the week. People seem to be having difficulty recalling such a profoundly wintry combination of phenomena. This morning the winds and rain had eased, but the chilly temperatures were exhibited as both cause and effect when the clearing skies revealed the mountain. That’s certainly one of the heaviest snow-falls I’ve ever seen.
Aaaaaannnnnnd, of course, we’re off to Scout camp this weekend!
