Dramatis persona*

helenhead Helen Chick

I've always wanted a bumper sticker that said "I'm a female, LDS/Mormon, Scout leading, geocaching, piano-playing, bicycling, mathematics educator with a PhD in maths ... and I VOTE"!

I think this makes me a minority group of cardinality 1!

* Since there's only one of me and "personae" is plural (I think), I've gone with dramatis persona.

GROIC Day 27

IFAs this challenge has progressed I have had a few sets of things in mind that I would be able to use on various days. However, until recently it hadn’t occurred to me to check out the far end of the wardrobe, a place I rarely venture, although I thought that most of what was there would be in the “hang on to” category. As a result, when the idea to check that far end crept into my brain a few days ago, it was so late in the month that I wasn’t sure I’d actually find enough items and that I’d have to supplement what I found with some other small collection.

To my embarrassment, however,  I found that most of the items of clothing stored there were candidates for elimination, either straight to the bin, or to an op shop. So, here are at least 27 items of clothing I haven’t worn in over 2 years. To add to the embarrassment quota, (a) I’m not entirely sure why I bought some of them (which makes me worry that there may not be any other people out there who have my lack of taste in sartorial selection), (b) at least three items actually came from op shops originally, and (c) thanks to age-related* changes in waist dimensions, some of them don’t fit any more (my svelte size 14 is now a little pear-shaped).

* Okay, perhaps only “age-related” because I’m eating too many bad things and not exercising enough in my dotage.
