Comments: Hard work and not entirely worth the effort. This does, however, get “limerick” crossed off the list of “standard forms to be done”. I apologise for the “decrepit” half-rhyme, but as you may appreciate there are limited rhymes for “have it” … and, besides, at least I haven’t resorted to using one of my pet limerick hates: a repeated rhyme (often the first and last lines).
