Dramatis persona*

helenhead Helen Chick

I've always wanted a bumper sticker that said "I'm a female, LDS/Mormon, Scout leading, geocaching, piano-playing, bicycling, mathematics educator with a PhD in maths ... and I VOTE"!

I think this makes me a minority group of cardinality 1!

* Since there's only one of me and "personae" is plural (I think), I've gone with dramatis persona.

Walk photo(s) 7

I don’t think today’s walk should count.

For starters, it wasn’t particularly long, and, since my niece and I kept stopping to take photos, it wasn’t particularly strenuous.

Some photos were taken, but in two places and of three separate things, which is rather beyond the intent of rule 3. However, this is okay, because Claire and I were in a photographing mood more than a walking mood (when I said I had survived the day’s earlier cruise without seasickness (see previous post) this is not to say that there weren’t some slightly adverse reactions, like a certain lack of enthusiasm for rapid or abrupt movements).

These shots were taken along the Mavista Walk on Bruny Island. The bigger photo is of some tiny mosses growing on a tree branch, and the other photos are time exposures of little cascades on the creek by the track (using a tripod this time, instead of pretending I can get away with a hand-held shot).

I believe there is a waterfall further along the track, but the track has, unfortunately, been closed.
