Dramatis persona*

helenhead Helen Chick

I've always wanted a bumper sticker that said "I'm a female, LDS/Mormon, Scout leading, geocaching, piano-playing, bicycling, mathematics educator with a PhD in maths ... and I VOTE"!

I think this makes me a minority group of cardinality 1!

* Since there's only one of me and "personae" is plural (I think), I've gone with dramatis persona.

Gardening in tune

I’ve been thinking of getting a note-tuning app for my iPhone, and the phrases “tuning fork” and “pitch pipe” somehow muddled themselves in my head to yield:

Pitch fork.

  • LOL… I have also made that muddle (and been given strange looks by those more musically literate around me)

    It sounds so right!

So much to say, so many memories revivied, so many ideas that we still share even though the geog distance prevents us from bumping into each other any time soon. I definitely plan a deliberate bump some time though! Proud to have shared perhaps one of your first-ever cheesecakes in the great outdoors circa ’78? Definitely jelly with powdered milk comes from that era. From that era too I’m reminded of Evan (as aged as the two of us, as opposed to my number one Evan) whom I saw one week ago and for the first time ever, in a snazzy suit and tie! Sadly it was at a funeral. Your Catch 22 blog explains my inability to correspond with you sooner than now; I am your twin in this aspect of life! Much to go but bed awaits…till next time. Vic of Tas. PS I now live 10 mins closer to Snug Tiers than I used to.

Sorry for the typo: revivied is not meant to have you reaching for a dictionary.
