They fought the dogs and killed the cats.
Oops. Correct rhyme, wrong word; but, like the rodent counterpart, they have become a bit of a pest.
Over the years I have accumulated more than a few, often as commemorative headgear, and—jokes about two-headed Tasmanians aside—I really do have rather more than I am ever likely to wear.
So, left to right, back row then front row, we have:
- 1990 conference for the Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers in Hobart, for which I designed the lower logo (in fact, I think we wore these as advertisements at the 1988 conference in Newcastle)
- Souvenir of the Great Wall of China in 1994
- International Congress of Mathematics Education in Mexico, 2008
- 1998 Scout Jamboree, Ipswich Queensland
- 1996 University Cricket Team (an annual intra-staff event; I won the best and fairest trophy (which I’ll keep, but the hat can go!))
- 1996 UTas Kids on Campus event (educational sessions for primary school age kids if I remember correctly).
