Dramatis persona*

helenhead Helen Chick

I've always wanted a bumper sticker that said "I'm a female, LDS/Mormon, Scout leading, geocaching, piano-playing, bicycling, mathematics educator with a PhD in maths ... and I VOTE"!

I think this makes me a minority group of cardinality 1!

* Since there's only one of me and "personae" is plural (I think), I've gone with dramatis persona.

12 of 12, June 2013

IFLunch today interrupted some meanderings on the east coast of Tasmania, with the meanderings documented in this month’s 12 of 12 collection. Lunch, on the other hand, is documented here so as not to interrupt the generally scenic mood of the rest of the day’s photos. I’m not sure that this photo does justice to how delicious lunch was, but it was a very flavoursome and spicy seafood gumbo from the Ugly Duck Out cafe in Swansea. This was followed by an excellent apple pie and icecream which I had after we’d interrupted the meal to go for a walk (a) in search of a cache and (b) to work off some of lunch in preparation for dessert, and were rained upon in the process.

Anyway, enough of lunch. The main focus of today’s 12 of 12 collection was scenery and weather on the east coast as I headed back from a few days away at Coles Bay with my parents. This means beaches, rain clouds, a rainbow, and views. The 12 of 12 photos are here.

(The “12 of 12” project involves taking 12 photos on the 12th of the month. This provides the opportunity to get snapshots of different aspects of your life. I have been doing this for nearly four years.)
