With a bit of careful coordination, one of my brothers, a friend of ours, and I managed to organise it so that we’d achieve simultaneous geocaching milestones today. We headed off into the wilds beyond New Norfolk, parked the car on a dirt side road, and headed up into the bush along an old 4WD track. After 1.6km, some uphills, sidling around a big gully, and crossing a little creek, we arrived at the aptly named Handsome Cave—a set of extensive sandstone outcrops and formations with some amazing erosion effects (apparently due to the sandstone being rather salty). Anyway, not only did we admire the location but we found the cache. This brought up 200 finds for my brother, 500 for our friend, and 700 for me. Yayy!
That’s a lot of finds! And what a cool place!
We need to do some geocaching. We can use the GPS that Doug bought for the scouts (he’s the scoutmaster right now).
I seem to have missed this, and surely you must be close to 800 by now, but Happy 700th!
