It came as a bit of a surprise to me that we’ve just had a whole year of 12ths of the month in which none of them have landed on a Sunday. So, you’ve seen work and recreation, but not a Churchy day … until today.
This month’s set of 12 of 12 photos thus get around to revealing some of the other typicalities of my life, with the morning spent at Church (although there are no photos of the grandmothers whom I usually collect on the way). The afternoon and early evening were a little different as I’d invited a family from Church around for dinner to get to know them in a more informal setting. I did spaghetti bolognese … and the secret of my onion chopping is revealed. There are one or two other random things as well.
Anyway, here are the 12 photos for the day.
I can’t stand waking up to Macca either – or changing the clock radio. I take the small tranny tuned to ABC NewsRadio out of the bathroom and put on the bedside table for Sunday mornings.
Am thrilled to discover your reference to Aged Ps. When I had grandparents I went through a stage of referring to them as the Aged Ps. I’m not sure they were as impressed as I was.
Am also impressed that you even OWN a skirt – don’t think I do!
Knowledge of “Aged Parent” is one of the few legacies of that forced cram reading of Great Expectations in Year 10. I note that Dickens apparently didn’t use “AP” as such; this acronym was to disguise the meaning when I first started referring to my Aged Ps by this term … affectionately, of course.
I don’t have the ‘Macca’ problem as don’t use an alarm. Unfortunately I always wake up before I need to get up, irrespective of what time I need to arise. My clock is at the other end of the room to the bed.
