Back at Scouts

My travels over the past six months have meant that I haven’t been doing Scouty type things, and although I met up with a few of “my kids” when I went to Jamboree, last night was the first night back into the regular routine. The kids have grown taller, some of their voices are deeper, they’re as noisy and zany and idiosyncratic as ever, there are three of them I haven’t met before, and two of them—who have been around for four or so years—are about to head up to Venturers. It was a slightly chaotic night (as usual) and it was good to see them again.
