I know that the photos that I take out of bus or train windows are never going to work. The foregrounds will be blurred, the windows are inevitably grimy and they’ll affect the colour grime or not, there will be reflections, there’ll be a lurch or jerk and the photo will end up lopsided, and some previously unseen large object (tree, building, tunnel) will hurtle past just as I depress the shutter.
However, when the scenery is great, you just take the pictures regardless.
These are a few photos taken on the train route from Vienna to Velden in southern Austria.
