7am, and the sun has not yet risen ... which means that I've had to tweak this photo (badly) in order to make things more visible (that blue should actually be a richer blue). This is my nice new one-and-a-bit person tent (I carry enough gear for one-and-a-bit people!). At 1.5kg, the tent is half the weight of my usual two-person tent. Since I was still carrying a tripod, my caching gear, and various things belonging to Justin (Justin Case, that is!), I didn't really notice any difference from my usual overencumbered state. Oh well ....
