The shoes I wore on last week's bushwalk. I'd worn these for last year's big
New Zealand trip and thought they'd be okay for the expedition to the southwest.
Unfortunately, the soles were a bit thin and the sides a bit low, so that
I ended up with blisters and rubbed ankles ... and they offered little resistance
to the mud we encountered (rinsed off prior to this photo).
As you can see, one of the laces is also a little the worse for wear.
