It wasn't just my students suffering my judgemental wrath today. When I arrived at work (after the not-enough hours of sleep between the official start of the 12th, and the civilised start of the 12th) I had to review a paper written by some anonymous academic to determine if it should be published (this is the "peer review process"). There were some interesting bits but it still needs quite a bit of work. (I type my reviews, and the scrawled barely legible marginal notes are only meant for me to remind of key points for when I write the actual review.)
