It’s just gone vernal equinox, and so there are now more than 12 hours of daylight each day, with the sun coming up just before 6am. The early light has been waking me before my alarm, which is the only down side of the longer day times, but at least this morning — after the alarm went off and I convinced myself that I had enough energy to stagger out of bed — when I looked out the window at the mountain I was greeted with a huge rainbow.
I then staggered out onto the balcony in my inelegant sleepwear finery and my disheveled early morning coiffure and took a photo … of the mountain (and not my sleepwear or coiffure).

Wonderful photo. Second day in a row there’s been a rainbow in that place about that time – I only glimpsed yesterday’s because ABC Radio mentioned it as I rolled out of bed but you have a much clearer view. I could just see bits of it between the trees.
