When I woke up this morning—and having remembered that it was the 12th—the gloomy and damp weather forecast had me thinking that I might attempt a series of “wet grey moods” photos for this month’s 12 of 12.
I’m sure you can guess what happened: the sun came out and put paid to that plan!
The improved weather outlook did, however, give me a greater incentive to get up and go for a walk—a habit that has fallen by the wayside lately, which is not a good thing—and so I thought I’d return some overdue library books and do a loop incorporating some bush paths. I then decided that “leaves” might make a good theme for 12 of 12, resulting in a collection of different leaves from a variety of native and introduced species.
And so here they are. They’re not especially good photos, but I enjoyed the stroll and it was fun keeping alert for interesting leafy effects; it is often the case that 12 of 12 is, for me, more about the process than the end product.
(The “12 of 12″ project involves taking 12 photos on the 12th of the month. This provides the opportunity to get snapshots of different aspects of your life. I have been doing this for four years; this current collection is actually my 48th 12 of 12.)
