Recently our postal service changed its approach to postage charges and delivery times, to the point where it now seems that Australia Post may have become a short-term, random-duration parcel and envelope storage facility. It is a complete mystery what they do with the mail in the new system, which involves 2-5 extra days between posting and delivery and costs us 50% more than it used to for postage.
