The week’s second trip to Launceston involved an earlier start and later finish than Monday’s trip. There are lots of hills to either side of the highway (and underneath it!) which means that silhouettes are soft targets for photographers with limited imagination, and so it’s cows on the skyline again (admittedly it was was only one cow, plus a horse, last time). In actual fact, I’d planned a different shot for the northward journey but it didn’t turn out very well, and it’s an idea that can “keep” for another opportunity.
On the way back, the setting sun produced some nice effects on the Ben Lomond range (which I have photographed previously), and the moon, showing an additional two days of waxing after Monday’s moods of the mountain, provided the inspiration for the bonus third shot.
