Dramatis persona*

helenhead Helen Chick

I've always wanted a bumper sticker that said "I'm a female, LDS/Mormon, Scout leading, geocaching, piano-playing, bicycling, mathematics educator with a PhD in maths ... and I VOTE"!

I think this makes me a minority group of cardinality 1!

* Since there's only one of me and "personae" is plural (I think), I've gone with dramatis persona.

It was a glorious spring day, and, as part of my quest to make sure I do enough walking each day, I went on one of my favourite longer walks in my area. Since it is the 12th, I have decided to take you on my trip as well. The birds and flowers were present in abundance, and I love having the water nearby (in addition to missing views of a mountain when I lived in Melbourne, I missed the proximity of water and the feeling of refreshment that such expanses can engender).

IFThere were lots of daisies and gazanias in bloom, looking bright and cheerful in the spring afternoon sunlight.
