Midlands #2014-5S

I had company for today’s trip to Launceston, which meant that I didn’t have to drive all the way. Unfortunately I was driving on the way up, when there were some fantastic light and mist effects. On the way back the scenery wasn’t quite so dramatic but, because I wasn’t driving, I could take shots through the window from the moving car … which, as expected, did not produce many good photos. However, I quite like this one, as it captures a certain ephemerality and disconnect between me inside the speeding car and the things that exist beyond reach in the world outside.
