Work had me in Launceston this week. I knew 12 of 12 was coming up but somehow I forgot to pack my good little camera (it normally travels with me, but I had removed it from its usual spot for another event). This meant that I had to resort to my iPhone, which doesn’t take particularly good photos, especially in contrasting light conditions.
I needed to go for a morning walk for breakfast, and decided to head part-way up the Gorge (South Esk River), and I knew that some of the photos would have a time non-specific feel to them. As a consequence I decided that I would run the shots through one of those “old photo” apps, to give them an old sepia look.
Some of the photos are in Campbell Town, where I stopped to break the drive on the way home, and the shot on the right was just out of Oatlands and completely fails to capture the atmosphere of that bit of countryside.
The rest of the collection is, I think, a little more successful.
You can find them here.
