I got this pile ready on the weekend. Well, when I say “got this pile ready” I really mean “took this already existing pile from its place on top of the downstairs chest of drawers where it has been sitting since shortly after I moved and dumped it onto the driveway so it could be photographed” … which means this pile has been sitting around as clutter for quite some time. Having decided it was going to be one of the daily milestones in the GROIC, I couldn’t actually dispose of it in this week’s recycling, despite its readiness—nay, long-overdue-ness—to go. This was due to the fact that days 18 and 28 had already filled the bin with their 46+ litres of rubbish.
Anyway, just to clarify, this is a pile of packing paper from when I moved, and there are waaaaay more than 29 sheets. It was actually quite reusable white newsprint when I salvaged it after moving, although it has yellowed and become brittle over the intervening months. I was going to use it on the garden, but the garden is a bit of a non-event at the moment.
Perhaps I just need someone to come up with a ridiculous do-something-in-the-garden-eve
No. No, not a good idea at all. That is not really what I need right now!
(And, besides, there is still another month’s worth of stuff to throw out, plus an office that could easily lose 496 items as well …)
