Dramatis persona*

helenhead Helen Chick

I've always wanted a bumper sticker that said "I'm a female, LDS/Mormon, Scout leading, geocaching, piano-playing, bicycling, mathematics educator with a PhD in maths ... and I VOTE"!

I think this makes me a minority group of cardinality 1!

* Since there's only one of me and "personae" is plural (I think), I've gone with dramatis persona.

IFI had little of free time and little of inspiration today.

I’d taken a photo of the snowy mountain this morning, and had thought I might try to get a few more photos of the mountain from different angles or try for something a little weather related (there had been snow falling on my side of the river early in the day, which is rare, although there was none near my place).

In the end, however, I was tied down with work, stuck in the office, and with no ideas for a theme and not much in the way of a window of opportunity to do anything much. So, when my big chance to escape on an errand to the bank came up, I grabbed the camera, and took photos of where I walked … literally.

I call this my “Put your right foot in (it)” collection.

The collection is not exciting, nor particularly good or interesting photographically, nor does it contribute much to the documentation of my history.

In short, I won’t blame any one for not bothering. And that’s assuming there’s even any one paying enough attention to not bother.

I will point out that the photo at right fits the theme, but is a little different from the rest in the collection. It was the last one taken, when I was almost back to my office.

Here are the other 12.

(The “12 of 12” project involves taking 12 photos on the 12th of the month. This provides the opportunity to get snapshots of different aspects of your life. I have been doing this for over four years; this current collection is the 49th 12 of 12. I hope I can come up with something a little more exciting for the 50th.)
