91. Drowning
Although it is a heartfelt wish
To swim as freely as a fish
And dive below without a nervous dread;
I find, instead, I shut my eyes
No matter how I strategize
To keep them open, staring straight ahead.
And so my time beneath the wave,
Is short, because I’m not so brave,
The reason for my timid state I share:
It really doesn’t seem to me
The safest place for one to be
Since there’s a quite unhelpful lack of air.

Comments: I can swim, but I have never been a confident swimmer, and going underwater is not my most favourite of activities.

You’re on the home stretch now – I am completely in awe of the effort!!!
I still have 4 to write, and I’ve missed the date that was 100 days after I started, but I’m fairly sure, now, that the collection will be completed.
