59. No Way Out
17, 18, 29 June 2013
Comments: Three days for five words?! This one was harder to write than it looks. It was what I eliminated that took the time, along with wrangling the right kind of words. It still doesn’t work quite as well as I would like, but I can’t afford to spend more time on it at the moment. It was meant to be able to be started anywhere, but once you started you were trapped in it, as the words were meant to keep making sense if you just kept going round and round (sort of like “The song that never ends” or “A doggie stole a sausage” only slightly less nauseating and marginally more intellectual and poetic). I couldn’t quite achieve this in the way that I wanted, but I’d like to come back to it sometime.
Themes to come: 60. Rejection; 61. Fairy Tale; 62. Magic; 63. Do Not Disturb; 64. Multitasking
