So many places, and so little time.
When I was growing up we used to go for family holidays and drives, and a typical activity would be “let’s see where THAT road goes”. Sometimes the results were dull, other times interesting or exciting, and on one occasion we came out in someone’s backyard. Oops!
I am not sure whether my curiosity about where roads go is learned or innate, but it’s certainly a very strong feeling. The big frustration for me on this weekend’s little excursion has been driving past roads labelled with fascinating sounding destinations— like waterfalls and old mining and forestry remnants—and not having the time to go and see what’s there. In some cases, even the very road itself has looked interesting.
I just want to know everywhere!
