I knew 12 of 12 was coming and I had vague plans of doing another “record a typical day” kind of thing, but I kept forgetting about it as the morning progressed or else I didn’t have my camera with me when I remembered (and I wasn’t in an iPhone photo mood).
The day was also a busy one, and I could see myself being stuck inside—away from Vitamin D and fresh air, and in far too close proximity to far too many overdue tasks for far too long.
So I decided to devise an activity that would serve the needs of 12 of 12, be a little creative, and get me out of the office though only for a short time.
The plan was: 12 photos in 12 minutes, using the little gully near my office as the location.
Unfortunately (or fortunately (every cloud has a silver lining and all that)) by the time 12 minutes elapsed I don’t think I had even 6 useable shots, so the challenge was revised to 12 photos in 24 minutes (double the Vitamin D and fresh air!).
I may yet try the 12 in 12 minutes challenge again one day, but for now it has been reinforced to me that it’s hard to take a quick snapshot that will turn out to be a good photo (well, when it’s me shooting anyway). You can see for yourself here.
Some LOVELY photos!!
So is next month going to be extra special because it is 12 of 12 (of 12 of 12)?
Yes, it will be 12 of 12 of 12 of 12. Unless you do it all between midday and 1pm (or midnight and 1am, not that you should) , then it’s 12 of 12 of 12 of 12 of 12. And if you do it all at 12:12pm, (12:12am) then it’s 12 of 12 of 12 of 12 of 12 of 12. And if you somehow do it all within one second, (12:12:12am/pm) or a fraction of that time (12:12:12.12am/pm), well, you get the picture. Phew!
Actually I have to get 12 pictures. That’s the point. Getting A picture or even THE picture is not sufficient.
…
That’s not what I meant…
