This month the 12th sees me in Taiwan, where 2.5 days of work-related meetings came to a conclusion and allowed time for some sightseeing in the city of Kaohsiung. The Taiwanese are very generous and I have had a wonderful time.
I have also eaten way too much. The photos below are of breakfast (the purple play-doh had a fairly non-descript flavour) and of the evening’s dim sum dinner.
The official collection of 12 photos are here, and includes various photos of Kaohsiung and my activities for the day.
Oooh, very cool! I had a dream once that I was going to serve another mission and got called to Taiwan, and I was SO excited. It was such a disappointment when I woke up and realized I wasn’t going to Taiwan.
In actual fact, I thought of you a few times while I was there, and thought it would probably appeal despite the lack of kimchi! Obviously it is not the same as Korea (I didn’t start to teach myself to read* the language, for example), but there are many generic Asian aspects.
