Dramatis persona*

helenhead Helen Chick

I've always wanted a bumper sticker that said "I'm a female, LDS/Mormon, Scout leading, geocaching, piano-playing, bicycling, mathematics educator with a PhD in maths ... and I VOTE"!

I think this makes me a minority group of cardinality 1!

* Since there's only one of me and "personae" is plural (I think), I've gone with dramatis persona.

This particular 12 of 12 has a food flavour. I knew there were going to be at least two food-related events during the day, in addition to the usual breakfast and lunch, and so I decided to use this as the theme. In fact, “food” had been on the “reserve list” for theme-hood for a while, just waiting for its moment (or for me to get desperate enough to resort to it).

So, this month you get to see my good, bad, ugly and odd eating habits.

Fortunately you don’t get to see me actually eating.

The photos are here.

You may or may not be hungry afterwards … depending on what happens (the culinary equivalent of “your mileage may vary”).

  • I am surprised that you had the mild American style yellow-tastes-kinda-like-mustard-but-not-really mustard in your fridge. You need to upgrade your mustards!

It’s legacy mustard: left there by someone else … and it’s been there for probably far too long … although there are some things that are past their use by date right from the word go and therefore last forever. I think mild American style yellow-tastes-kinda-like-mustard-but-not-really mustard is in this category.
