Off into the sunset …

1o.          Breathe Again

Will I? Won’t I?
Can I? Can’t I?
No pressure or nuthin’!
Waiting, waiting
Time slows and hastens.
Pulse pounding
Tension mounting
Braced in readiness
Then
A fleeting eternity
And it’s done.
The pressure fades;
It’s only now I realise
That all along
I’ve been holding my breath.
