My turn to host Sunday night family dinner

For the past several years members of my extended family living in Hobart have been taking it in turns to host family dinner on Sunday night. Because I lived in Melbourne I would only get to enjoy these occasions infrequently on my irregular visits, and always as guest, never as host. Now that I have moved back to Tassie, however, I can participate on a weekly basis, in the company of my parents, some of my siblings and in-laws, and some of my nieces and nephews. And, of course, this also means that I can start to take my turn at hosting these gatherings. Having postponed it for a few weeks — due to the fact that I was still unpacking and organising the house — I bit the bullet this week and offered to have Sunday dinner at my place, whether I was ready or not. Since the chosen Sunday happened to fall on the 12th the event was recorded for posterity, with the usual 12 photographs (which, as sometimes happens, blows out to more than 12).
