Ely

Ely Cathedral

Ely Cathedral is a huge cathedral with massive flying buttresses, two towers, lots of huge internal arches, a vast vaulted ceiling and lots of stained glass.

Rainbow on our way to the cathedral.

Ely Cathedral from the south, with the central octagon tower visible.

The octagon in Ely Cathedral. It dates back to the 1300s but is newer than most of the building because an earlier tower collapsed and this was built as the replacement.

Stained glass window (the blues are even richer than this indicates).

Window of Old Testament prophets.
