A Walk near Todmorden (25 October 2009)

After yesterday's epic adventure we did something a little more gentle today, with a stroll along the canal in Todmorden, and then up onto a smaller hill, where the wind was still pretty strong.

View of Todmorden from the east. Three valleys meet here, and you can also see the rail line.

Bridle path leading up to the hilltop from which the first photo was taken.

St Paul's Cross Stone Church (disused) above Todmorden.

Horse, fields and view up to Stoodley Pike (the narrow valley of the Calder lies, invisible, between the horse and the far hill).

Wind-swept grass and autumnal tree.
